Imperfection and Organic Forms
I celebrate imperfection in my ceramic pieces, embracing rough textures and asymmetry. Many of my vessels are intentionally distorted, cracked, or bubbling with unpredictable glazes, creating a natural and almost geological aesthetic.
Surface as a Storyteller
Much like my paintings and drawings, my ceramics use the surface itself to tell a story. The glazes often have deep fissures, bubbling effects, or layered textures that feel weathered and aged, as though each piece has been unearthed from history. This aligns with my interest in ruins, decay, and the persistence of memory.
The Human Face
My sculpted busts reflect the same interest in surface depth as my abstract ceramic vessels. The faces appear aged, worn, and almost fragmented, as though they are eroding over time. I enjoy a deep engagement with themes of human fragility, transformation, and history.
